Hammer Zero Mercy Hybrid
What should I know about the Zero Mercy Hybrid? •Asymmetric Super Offset core: 2.524 RG and a .053 differential, the same engine as the Solid and Pearl •Four-color HK22C2 Hybrid cover at a 500, 1000, 1500 Siaair / Factory Compound finish •The missing piece between the Zero Mercy Solid and Pearl, for medium to heavy oil
What the Specs Tell Us
The Hammer HK22 C2 Hybrid Reactive coverstock blends midlane read with backend continuation, a balanced approach that works across a range of patterns. With an RG of 2.524 and a .053 differential, this core stores energy longer, pushing further down the lane with strong flare potential that creates an aggressive ball motion. Designed for medium-heavy oil, this ball has the surface and core combination to handle the volume and still make a move to the pocket.

Great bowling balls, had to knock off the factory compound, works great after that.
Here is my take on the Hammer Zero Mercy Hybrid. The Zero Mercy Hybrid is the third in the line of Zero Mercy bowling balls. The Zero Mercy Hybrid features the same Super Offset asymmetric core used in the Solid and Pearl wrapped by a black, silver, white and red HK-22C2 hybrid cover. Box finish is Factory Compound over 1500 Siaair. The layout used in this review is 40 x 4 x 25. I have thrown this on several different THS, both fresh and leftover. The Zero Mercy Hybrid, by manufacturer's intent, is designed to be the "in between" ball for the Zero Mercy Solid and Zero Mercy Pearl. As most know, the highly successful Zero Mercy Solid is arguably the strongest ball in the Brands of Brunswick line up. The Pearl version is definitely cleaner and quicker in its response. To my eye, the Zero Mercy Hybrid does achieve its stated goal of being a combination of both balls. It definitely is less than the Solid without question. For my interests, I wanted to see the difference between the Pearl and Hybrid. The Hybrid definitely sees the lane a touch earlier and finishes a little harder. I can see the Hybrid in play on medium to higher volume fresh patterns or as the first ball down in transition off of the Zero Mercy Solid. If you had success with the Zero Mercy Solid and are looking for a little more distance with similar down lane motion, the Zero Mercy Hybrid is what you want. The Zero Mercy Hybrid is readily available. Please see your local pro shop for more information.
