2022 USBC Senior Masters
USBC Senior Masters
The 2022 USBC Senior Masters presents a moderately challenging 40-foot medium pattern with a 2.18:1 ratio and substantial 31.5mL oil volume that creates a clearly defined track area without extreme walls. The forward-heavy oil distribution (19.13mL vs 12.33mL reverse) rewards aggressive line selection and early friction, allowing strokers and power players to find the dry boards effectively while speed control remains critical to avoid overskidding the heads. Crossing 699 boards total, this pattern demands precision through the mid-lane transition where the ratio's moderate slope prevents dramatic angle changes, making it suitable for bowlers who can execute consistent releases and adjust to oil carrydown without relying on extreme backend reaction.
