2024 PBA Bat
PBA Animal Patterns
The 2024 PBA Bat is a moderately challenging 37-foot medium pattern with a nearly balanced forward-to-reverse split (12.85mL to 12.35mL) that creates predictable lane movement without extreme skid or backend reaction. The 2.81:1 ratio and 504 boards crossed favor a controlled approach, rewarding bowlers who can navigate the mid-lane transition without over-playing angles: this pattern breaks down gradually rather than sharply, making it punishing for those who chase the oil but manageable for bowlers with solid fundamentals and clean releases. Medium volume throughout means pearl and solid coverstock selections remain viable, though the relatively flat oil distribution will push reactive equipment to read the midlane earlier than on heavier PBA patterns, making aggressive angles necessary as the pattern ages.
