2024 PBA Scorpion
PBA Animal Patterns
The 2024 PBA Scorpion is a long 42-foot pattern with substantial oil volume (35.1mL) that creates a moderately challenging 2.78:1 ratio, rewarding precision over raw power. The forward-heavy oil distribution (21.5mL front, 13.55mL reverse) and 701 boards crossed build a defined but playable lane structure that allows for consistent friction transition without excessive backend snap, making it suitable for both speed-control and rev-dominant styles. This KEGEL-conditioned animal pattern demands accurate breakpoint targeting since the extended length and moderate ratio provide margin for adjustment without the extreme wall-like movement of steeper patterns, though careless miss-shots will expose the backend quickly.
